MLSC Bike Ride
Loop from Valley Forge Park (Betzwood Bridge) to Mill Grove

2018_Bike Ride

Sun., April 29th  2:00 pm

Valley Forge

In past years many have enjoyed this beautiful ride - - the Virginia bluebells should be at their peak along the River Trail and they are GORGEOUS so don't miss this!! Bring your bike (in good riding condition, tires inflated) to the Betzwood Bridge parking lot (off 422) in Valley Forge Park and be ready to ride at 2 p.m.. Park as soon as you enter the lot and join us there at the bike trail head.  Meet up with leaders Fletcher and Sally Swanson and other MLSC bikers for a delightful spring bike ride via the Perkiomen Bike Trail to Pawlings Road where we will take a “spur” to Mill Grove Sanctuary (home of John James Audubon). We will take a snack break then we will continue on the spur to Lower Perkiomen Park where we will rejoin the Perkiomen Trail and head back to Betzwood.

Bring water and a helmet (required on all MLSC bike rides!!) as well as a mid-afternoon snack for sharing in the snack “potluck”.!! Call the Swansons at 610-431-1850 OR email them at fswanson@erols.com to let them know you’ll be joining the group or further directions to the Betzwood Bridge location.  Also provide your cell phone number if you can for possible contact if need be. Rain cancels. Total mileage is approximately 10 miles… with a few hills!!
