Winter Walk & Indoor "Picnic"

Post-holiday blahs got you down??? Looking to get rid of some Christmas calories?? Well, come out for some fresh air and exercise with MLSC!!! Weather permitting (no rain, ice, or deep snow), we will walk on the Perkiomen Trail from Arcola to Collegeville, total round-trip distance of about 4 miles, then have a winter "picnic" at Sally Hilderbrand’s in Collegeville, with a TOTALLY homemade lunch – “sloppy joes”, Sally’s favorite homemade soup, deviled eggs, warm applesauce, and fresh-baked cookies, plus a few more goodies. Each year just about every morsel is devoured – but as someone commented, “What’s not to like about the food!!” We will meet at Sally’s home in Collegeville, then carpool to the trail over the new and BEAUTIFUL Arcola Bridge to begin walking. The trail is very scenic, even in winter – it’s entirely in the woods and overlooks the Perkiomen Creek below.
Cost of $15 for the lunch for members (such a deal!!) – please bring EXACT CASH, $25 for non-members. Call Sally at 610-489-4718 OR email her at shilderbrand2@verizon.net by Friday night, January 26th to reserve. No late reservation calls after this, please – We need to COOK and have enough food! (Needless to say, you don’t bring anything!) And make SURE you received a confirmation email from Sally to ensure your email was received.
Finally, take care to dress for the weather. Limited number of spaces available so reserve early!
