Fall “Stroll” at Dunwoody Village Wild Life Refuge
Sunday, Oct. 8
10:30 a.m.
Newtown Square
We meet in Newtown Square at the home of Jorie and Kerwin Nailor at Dunwoody Village (see directions below) that is off of Rt. 3, near Route 252. There is an unpaved trail in the southeast woods that leads to planted meadow retention ponds and along Hunter’s Run. This NEW and EXCITING stroll is about 2-3 miles in a loop that is moderately difficult. We will end at the Nailor’s for a snack – so bring some goodies to share plus water.
Sign up with Jorie Nailor, our leader, at jorienailor@gmail.com or by calling 484-427-7808 (land line). Be sure to leave your cell phone number so we can call you if need be. And of special note -- the Eagles play at 1 pm this week so we will finish at noon so there is time to get to the game too. So come on out for some good times as well as exercise and enjoyment of fall, a beautiful season. Decent weather only!! Call Jorie if it’s questionable.
Directions: Coming south on Rt. 252, take a left turn onto Rt. 3. At the third Light turn right into the entrance of Dunwoody Village (opposite street is Bryn Mawr Avenue). Pass the Farmhouse (Dunwoody at Home Office) on your left and make a U-turn after the parking area. Address for Nailor’s is #512. Park along the street.
Coming from Rt. 476, exit at #9 Broomall/ Newtown Square and head west on Rt. 3. Approximately 3 miles turn left at additional entrance to Dunwoody Village. Immediately turn left again. Follow directions to the Farmhouse and beyond.
