MLSC Invites you to join our Summer Stroll on the Schuylkill River Trail (with ice cream treat afterwards!) Sun. May 20th, 2PM in Valley Forge
The River Trail on the OTHER side of the river in Valley Forge Park is a delightful walk/stroll any time of year and late May is no exception! There are NO hills on this trail, just a wide gravel path and views of the river. You can elect to do TWO, FOUR, or SIX (the entire length and back!) miles and these checkpoints are well-marked enroute in addition. After our hike, we’ll go to Bruster’s in the Audubon S.C. close by for ice cream!
We start at the Betzwood Bridge parking lot area. Take the Rt. 363 exit from Route 422 which is IMMEDIATELY after you cross the Schuylkill River. Stay in the LEFT hard lane of the exit ramp and turn LEFT at the top of the ramp. You will then cross over Rt. 422, make another left and head down towards the river. At the stop sign, turn RIGHT into the park and go to the END of the road, past the bathrooms on your left and park as close to the start of the River Trail as possible.
