The Morris Arboretum is the official arboretum of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Stroll through the classical English landscape structures and sculpture gardens at this 92-acre Victorian arboretum in the northwestern corner of Philadelphia. Watch for birds as you enjoy the elegant beauty of the 19th century grounds, complete with formal rose garden, majestic old trees and unusual plants from North America, Asia, Africa and Europe.

At the Out On A Limb Tree Adventure Exhibit, stop by the Canopy Walk: The centerpiece of a campus-wide exhibition at Morris Arboretum is a 450 foot-long, fully accessible tree canopy walk. It is one of few tree canopy walks in North America. Get a bird’s eye view of the forest from 50 feet up, perched on a canopy walk high above ground level. Check out the Squirrel Scramble and the Bird's Nest.
Birding – Natural areas include Wetlands, meadows, and grasslands; a great habitat for birds. There are resident birds as well as migrating raptors and warblers to see. Check out their website to see pictures of all the species.
The Arboretum opens at 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The average stay is about 3 hours, but you can stay as long as you want. Admission is $15.00 for seniors; members are free. If we have 10 or more people, it’s $11 for seniors. I hope you can join us for a delightful day!

The Morris Arboretum is located at 100 E. Northwestern Avenue, Phila (Chestnut Hill); 215-247-5777.. We will meet at Barnes & Noble parking lot in Berwyn (Devon) at 9:00 am and travel together to the Arboretum. (Please let me know if you are driving on your own.)
We’ll conclude our visit to the Arboretum with a visit to the Compton’s Café at the Visitors Center at 1:00 pm. We can enjoy the cuisine that the Café has to offer. Hope you can join us!!
